Lover accompanied 12-year-old girl, two in a relationship for two years; POCSO to  be imposed on youth

ALUVA: The police divulged vital information soon after the 12-year-old girl, who went missing was found. One of the youths seen with her is her lover. The investigating official said the two has been in a relationship for more than two years.

The girl, daughter of a native of West Bengal living in Edayapuram went missing around 5 pm on Sunday. A missing complaint was lodged after the girl, who went to buy things from a shop nearby, did not return.

Residents of the area had testified that three North Indian youths were seen in suspicious circumstances near the girl's house. While checking the nearby CCTV footage, it was found that the two were following the girl.

When the police investigation was going on, the girl called her maternal aunt at night and informed her that she was going with her friend. An investigation focusing on the tower location found the girl and three others from the camp in Angamaly where migrant laborers reside. The police informed that a case will be filed against the youth under POCSO.

An eight-year-old girl from Bihar who was sleeping in her house at Chathapuram in Edayappuram was abducted, sexually abused and was later found abandoned. The girl went missing yesterday just 300 meters away from this place.
